Before the Darkest Hour
Nathalvaas, or Navas, as it is known among the numerous merchants buying fruit, olives and Shashi-grape brandy from the region, is a large expanse of land stretching from the banks of river Aluar in the west, river and lake Maeru in the west, Nathaghal foothills and the highland Nath valley in the north.
Formerly one of the breadbaskets of Halruaa, the region suffered most during the recent Mulhorandi invasion. Numerous villages were destroyed with its fields and orchards defiled by the priests’ of Seth dark rituals.
The most prosperous trading town of Nathalvaas is Alaurim, as all of the goods flood to its river docks, with the community of Eichul formerly a cradle for its many farmers and craftsmen. Today Eichul is an island amidst the destruction left by the Mulhorandi.
